NICKY ROWE (SHE/HER) - PRINCIPAL & ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

TEACHES - MUSICAL THEATRE, DANCE & ACTING

Nicky has trained for many years in Performing Arts and teaching. She performed professionally around the world and has a passion for the arts. Over the years she has had the great opportunity to work at many different dance, primary and secondary schools and can’t wait to use all her knowledge The IAMT. Teaching is a privilege as you are helping to shape little humans. Her goal is to make sure every child feels nurtured, inspired and can gain all the tools they need to excel in every class, whether it be a hobby or to go and train professionally. Nicky is also the Principal of Nix Academy in Hampton Wick and is thrilled it will now have a Sister School with The IAMT.

TOM CHIPPENDALE (HE/HIM) - RESIDENT MUSICAL DIRECTOR & MUSICAL SUPERVISOR

A graduate of Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts (MA Musical Theatre Performance), Tom is a freelance actor, musical director and singing teacher working in and around London. He works with people of all ages, predominantly secondary school age students, as well as professional performers and musicians, with recent professional clients receiving final round auditions for West-End productions. Tom offers lessons in the following: singing technique; audition technique; acting-through-song; song-writing; piano; music theory; and Logic-based music production. He also offers extra tutoring for GCSE Music.
Tom obtained a First Class Honours degree in Music from Royal Holloway, University of London in 2017. At Royal Holloway, he studied voice under Graham Titus, and Robert Greenhill. In 2018, Tom graduated from the one-year postgraduate course in Performance (Musical Theatre), at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, studying voice under Holly Aisbitt, Marco Morbidelli, and Martin Leberman. His first professional position after graduating was Assistant Musical Director for Aria Entertainment’s production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s ‘Aspects of Love’ at Southwark Playhouse; he has gone on to AMD and MD several productions including ‘Dogfight’ at Southwark Playhouse, the 5 Year Celebration Show at IAMT, and ‘Brexit Stage Left’ at Above The Arts, Covent Garden. Tom also appears as a performer, and in 2020 appeared as Demetrius in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Al-Fresco Theatre), Various roles in I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change (Room 29 Theatre virtual production), and Ensemble in Roles We’ll Never Play (Turbine Theatre).

CERYS MCKENNA (SHE/HER) - HEAD OF SINGING & MUSIC / ASSISTANT MUSICAL DIRECTOR

TEACHES - SINGING, PIANO, MUSIC THEORY & ACTING
Cerys graduated from Mountview in July with a Masters in Musical Direction after completing a BMus at Royal Holloway University.
Professional credits include: Ride the Musical (Southwark Playhouse and Leicester Curve- Assistant MD, 2023), Cinderella (Brighton Family Pantomime- MD, 2023) Diary of a Gay Disaster (The King’s Head Theatre and Mountview- MD, 2023), Café on the Beach (Mountview- Onstage MD/Composer), When No One’s Looking (Lambert Jackson Productions Workshop- AMD), Now. Here. This. (Edinburgh Fringe MD, 2023), Vinegar Tom (Mountview-Assistant MD), A Little Night Music (Mountview- Assistant MD 2022), You Don’t Have to Make a Big Song and Dance of it (National Theatre Connections- 2023 MD).
She has also worked for and accompanied Berkshire Youth Choir, Berkshire Children’s Choir and The John Lewis Partnership Choir. As well as this she is Head of Singing at The International Academy of Musical Theatre in Egham.

JESSICA LASHBROOK (SHE/HER) - TECHNICAL DANCE & SENIOR CHOREOGRAPHER

Teaches - Musical Theatre, Tap, Ballet & Jazz

Jess is currently in her third year at PPA on the BA (Hons) Musical Theatre course. She has been with IAMT for 9 years previously being a part of the Saturday school and shows in a week. She has performed in professional pantomimes and touring productions such as ‘Evita’, ‘Whistle Down the Wind’ and ‘Seven Brides for Seven Brothers’ and was also part of the juvenile ensemble in ‘Never Forget’ at the Savoy Theatre. Her credits with IAMT include Joanne in ‘RENT’, Heather in ‘American Idiot’, Morticia in ‘Addams Family’, Kate in ‘Avenue Q’ and Ariel in ‘Footloose’. She also performed with IAMT at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival as Anna in ‘Spring Awakening’.

REA BAILEY (SHE/HER) - LAMDA & MUSICAL THEATRE TEACHER

Teaches - Musical Theatre, Acting, Singing & Dance

Rea has been dancing since she was 3 years old at JGDance school in Hampshire. From very young she knew she wanted to be a professional performer and trained from 2017-2020 at The Academy of Live and Recordered Arts with a degree in Acting. Since then she has been teaching dancing and acting to lots of children in a range of abilities and enjoys inspiring the new generation of performers.

CHRIS AUKETT (HE/HIM) - LAMDA TEACHER & ACTING COACH

Teaches - Acting, Devising & Improvisation

Chris trained at the Liverpool Institute for the Performing Arts (LIPA) and graduated in 2011 with a 2.1 honors degree in Acting.

ANNA WELLMAN (SHE/HER) - LAMDA TEACHER & ACTING COACH

TEACHES - ACTING, MUSICAL THEATRE & PUBLIC SPEAKING

Anna is a recent graduate of Royal Holloway University with a degree in Drama and Theatre Studies, and is currently training to be a director at Mountview, with experience in dramaturgy, assistant directing, directing, improvised comedy and singing technique. Assistant directing credits include: Junkyard (Mountview) Macbeth (Mountview – Internal). Directing credits include: Company (RHUL), The Exhibit (Windsor Fringe Festival), Now. Here. This. (Edinburgh Fringe Festival). Anna has also directed a number of short musical numbers and monologues both in and out of the student setting.

MACY WEDD (SHE/HER) - TEACHING ASSISTANT

Macy has had a love for performing from a young age, and joined the IAMT teaching team in 2022. She loves watching young performers grow and develop their skills as well as gain their confidence. She was thrilled to join the teaching team, as she feels passionate about inspiring other young performers to achieve their best and wanting to be a positive role model for them. Macy is a Senior Academy student, and has been a part of the IAMT for several years, performing in a variety of shows. As well as this, she has also completed a number of LAMDA examinations in both Acting and Musical Theatre – she will be continuing her training alongside IAMT at Artemis College.
