The IAMT Scholarship

IAMT are honoured to have a trio of Scholarships to aid our members who are in need of financial assistance. This trio comprises of the Principal Scholarship, the Matthew Golder Scholarship and finally the Jodie Steele Scholarship.

These Scholarships have helped:

  • Students with fees
  • Provided free counselling for students struggling with mental health issues
  • Provided free uniform for low income families
  • Assisted with drama school fees for alumni students

Matthew Golder Scholarship

The Matthew Golder Scholarship was set up in January 2019. Whilst this financial help is amazing, the scholarship has also been set up to remember our wonderful student, Matthew Golder who sadly passed away in October 2018.

Matthew had such a passion and zest for life, beyond being unbelievably cheeky, he was one of the most caring, hard working and kind boys we’ve had the privilege of teaching. He absolutely adored drama and performing, both with us and also at his Primary School, St Anne’s Heath. We remember Matthew most for his outstanding performance as Phil, in Hercules: A Greek God. We will never move on from the loss of Matthew, but we will ensure we continue our work to teach and train more and more young performers. Forever a part of our Family. 50% of the the Matthew Golder Scholarship available has been donated by Matthew’s Family; Helen, Rick and Thomas Golder. We would like to thank them for their generosity, and continued support of the academy.
